Join us on Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 6-8pm in St Joseph's Church Hall for the premiere of a new film about the Pathfinders Parade
Come and see yourself on the big screen!
On Saturday 8 August 2026, the Pathfinders Parade blazed through Cardowan and the historic paths of the Meadow. Across the day, we welcomed around 150 community members to walk the Meadow, enjoy live music, and share in a community meal. It was part of a city-wide campaign for a new path from here through to Glasgow which could make a big difference for the community.
A film has been made documenting the Parade so you might see yourself if you were there. At this premiere, we'll have some creative activities for everyone, screen the film, and discuss what is needed to get the path built. There will be drinks and snacks available and the evening should finish by 8pm.
So we know how many people to expect, please book your place:

Through the Thriving Tomorrow project, Culture for Climate Scotland have been exploring environmentally sustainable futures for the area. A big suggestion that came up during that project was about getting a new path built that would better connect Cardowan through to Glasgow, supporting low carbon travel, access to nature and better connectivity. Local residents felt that they needed more control over infrastructure planning and decision making to make this possible. We are now trying to help make this happen.
This event is being hosted by Culture for Climate Scotland and Cardowan Community Meadow with artist Frank McElhinney.
